I am at a lose.
Tomorrow, Tuesday 25th Jan I am going to visit one of my very favorite garden centres "Gorden Riggs"
Hopefully I'll be able to find these seeds there.

John will be busy working on the land drover. He'll be fitting anew water pump as the one thats on leeks...quite a lot....

Anyway hopefully I'll be able to go off tomorrow....

Going off for my tea shortly, but I'll be back later to add some more to my life story....

Well I getting ready to start sowing lots of veg seeds in the next few days.

Gartenperle being one of the first thing I'll get under way....

I really like these little tomato's I would recommed that anyone who grows tomato's to give them a go. they are easy to look after, they'll grow in the greenhouse or outside in veg plots or in large pots, they have a proper tomato taste, there great fresh off the bush or make a good chutney at the end of the season, both red and green......

They will keep if pulled up from the soil for a month or two.

You can only get them from Thompson & Morgan seeds they cost £2-19 for approx 20 seeds.

I usually grow 4 or 5 plants per year, for my own use.

I do sell them from the nursery too, Not sure what they'll cost this year just yet as I've not worked out there price, which will be for each plant, usually growing in a 1 litre size pot....

I'll have to let people know when I've sorted out the price.....

Well now I've got the seeds home I did managed to sow a few of the seeds yesterday, they're now happily sitting in the propagator and I've kept checking it on and off all...It's lovely and warm ...

I do hope that they will germinate in the next few days, last year they germinated in 3 days.

I'll be checking for signs again tomorrow...

I'll keep you all informed of whats happening in the propagator...that will be on "the Garden Nursery" page....

    Bye for now...Lady Sarah.

  6. Saturday 12th Feb 2011.
Now the hunt for tomato "Garten Perle" is over and I've got 12 strong growing seedlings....

I'm looking forward to watching the tomato plants grow and will know that they've been grown without the use of any chemiacls,as I do not like to use them anywhere in the garden, I go for natural methods of pest and disease control...I've never been one for using them (chemicals)...

Anyway I'm going to try and see waht else I can get to growing....

Well just thought I'd add a bit more to this part of my blog...the seedlings of garten perle are doing really well there now all around 4 inches tall and have 3 pairs of leaves and are growing very strong I have 12 plants I will be growing 4 of them 2 in the vegetable beds and 2 in large pots the other 8 will be for sale shortly at £1-99 each, I know that quite expensive for a tomato plant but, they are quite a unusual varity...and they will be semi-mature plants when sold in June...Lady Sarah.

The tomato plants are doing quite well now and will have to be potted on again next week as there now getting to big for there plug pots which they are growing in... And I 've found some more Garten perle seeds so I sown some of them too but they haven't germinated as yet I want some for selling in June...As it will still be ok to plant them out then...I'm going to grow all mine this year in pots, I know it will be much hard work with having to water them more often as I know that they will dry out more quickerly in pots, but I can grow them anywhere in the garden and around the nursery and get fresh tomato's as I wonder around...Lady Sarah.
